Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee invites applications from eligible Engineering candidates for the commencement of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 for enrollment in M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D courses in IITs .Interested candidates can apply online for GATE 2017on or before 04-10-2016. Examination Detail for GATE Application 2017

Name of the Examination- The examination name is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Organizing Institution- The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is organizing the GATE 2017.

Name of the Programme- The GATE will be conducted for the enrollment in Post Graduate and Ph.D Programmes in Engineering and various disciplines of Engineering and Technology.

Educational Qualification-As for minimum qualification, the candidate should possess Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc/Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and are those who are in the final year of such programme.

Candidates who have pursued Bachelors Degree in Architecture (Five year) and those who are in the final year of such programme are eligible for GATE 2017.

Candidates who have pursued Bachelors Degree in Science (Four year B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programme are eligible for GATE 2017.

Candidates who have pursued Four year integrated Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or Master’s Degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Application and those who are in the final year of such programmes are eligible for GATE 2017.

Mode of Examination- The GATE will carry 65 questions of MCQ and Numerical Answer   which will carry 100 marks. The duration of the examination will be 3 hours.

Exam Centres- The GATE exam centers will be at various places in India.

How to Apply for GATE Application 2017

Application Fee:- Candidates will have to pay Rs.1500/-(General/OBC) and Rs.750/- (SC/ST/PWD/Women) as application fee. The application fee can be paid by using net banking/ debit card/ e challan.

Application Process- Candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official website of IIT Roorkee on or before 04-10-2016.
